Overview
The medieval city of Mdina is situated in Malta's picturesque central region and this close proximity makes it a perfect destination for a fascinating full-day tour.
The day begins with the journey itself where you will pass different styles of architecture, including the medieval Siculo-Norman palaces and other baroque buildings of great historical importance en route to Mdina.
Once at Mdina, after exploring the narrow, winding streets and catching the breath-taking views from a top the imposing bastions, you will soon understand why this medieval-era “Silent City” is a film maker's paradise.
After departing through Greek’s Gate, you will proceed to the photogenic cliffs at Dingli before a visit to the San Anton Botanical gardens which are situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will be able to admire from outside. The tour then concludes with a stop at the early Christian catacombs in Rabat, a visit to a crafts centre at Ta’Qali and a chance to be astounded by Mosta’s majestic dome - one of the largest domes in Europe.
