VAT Refund

The cost of arranging your meeting or your stay at the Corinthia Hotels in Malta is positively impacted by a recent law change: it is now possible to file a refund claim for VAT paid on ‘business-related’ conferences, seminars, conventions, meetings or sales events (e.g., Accommodation, room rental, AV rental, meals including drinks, coffee breaks, gifts, entertainment, internet and telephony charges). If you are a taxable company and not registered for VAT in Malta but established in another country inside or outside European Union territory, you may claim input VAT incurred in Malta on your business event, provided that you do not perform any trading activities in Malta.

How can one apply? An application may be made with the VAT Department in your country by sending the fully paid invoice Further information may be obtained from the booklet entitled ‘Special Refund Scheme’ on the official government VAT Department website www.vat.gov.mt

Incentives à la carte

A Day on board a private Turkish Gullet

Spend a day on board your very own private Turkish Gullet, boarding from the Sliema Ferries(7km from the hotel) and sailing to the Island of Comino.

A lavish buffet and an open bar will be available onboard, and your guests may enjoy the afternoon at leisure swimming or snorkeling in the crystal blue waters of the blue lagoon.

For those with a tighter schedule, a half day or evening program is also available.

Go Back in Time - The Hypogeum

This truly unique and aweinspiring site enjoys an individual listing on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Hypogeum consists of halls, chambers and passages hewn out of the living rock and covering around 500m². The site’s microclimate is strictly regulated to ensure its conservation. For this reason, the site is open to a maximum of 80 visitors each day.


We can help you pre book your unique lifetime experience, The Museum is open Monday to Sunday from 09.00 to 16.00 hours (subject to museum availability) and groups will visit according to prebooked timeslots. Price of the ticket: €25.00 per person
